Castañer

The origins of Castañer go back to 1927, when Luis Castañer and his cousin Tomàs Serra founded the brand's first workshop and, to this day, in our workshops we continue to work with jute in the same way as when it all began: fifteen artisan hands go through each pair of our espadrilles. In the 1970s, together with Yves Saint Laurent, we made history by creating the first jute wedge. Today we are in 20 countries with 30 shops and more than 900 multi-brand points of sale with a timeless product made with craftsmanship.
